New Life On The Farm

Our oldest doe, Falsie, kidded twin girls this past Thursday. This is a video of her second girl, Ann, being born. Ann presented as a breech birth (back legs first), but Falsie did a great job and I only had to help at the last minute to pull Ann's head out (I had to turn the camera off for that part). Ann and Arbor, named by our super-cool volunteer group from the University of Michigan, bring our total number of kids to 22 so far this season -10 boys and 12 girls! The chicken in this video is our resident dairy hen, Martha.

In this video I am talking to Christian, another awesome volunteer, about our goat breeding experiment this year. We bred all of our goats at the same time and took a 5 week break from selling milk so the goats could have their babies. As of this week the farm has begun selling our raw goat milk once again!

Welcome to the world, Ann!

More baby goats are soon to come! Give us a call and stop on by to visit the new goat kids!
